I put this list together for people like Me – true comic book nerds who need to know such minor details like - ROGUE actually started off as a villain in Avengers Annual #10 before she became one of the most popular X-Men of all time!

This list includes nearly all of the major heroes -plus- most major villains and a few key supporting characters. I have them separated by HEROES – then VILLAINS- and finally CIVILIANS.

This list is NOT every single character in the comic universe – which numbers something in the dozens of thousands. But – it is a damn good start of the most popular characters.
